The Emergency Department at General Hospital is undergoing renovation and expansion. A newly-constructed waiting area is open and provides families and ambulatory patients with enhanced comfort, convenience, and privacy. Under construction is an addition to the treatment area of the Emergency Department. The heli-pad has been demolished to allow for construction. Ambulance traffic is also using a temporary area for patient transfers.
