I met a special person called a CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST, who came to visit me. She told me all about what I was going to do at the hospital. She showed me some pictures of the things that I would see and she answered some of the questions that mommy and me had about my surgery. She helped me feel a lot better about my surgery. Next, she told me all about the Playstation, computer, Xbox, movies, games, arts and crafts, and the playroom that the hospital has just for kids. I was a good listener so she let me pick out a toy from the treasure box!
