The Sleepy People

Once we arrived in the HOLDING ROOM, there were two different doctors that came to talk to my mommy and me. One doctor was called an ANESTHESIOLOGIST, or as I call him SLEEPY DOCTOR. He talked to me about my special SLEEPY MEDICINE.

SLEEPY MEDICINE is a special medicine that keeps you asleep during surgery so you don't feel a thing. This SLEEPY MEDICINE is also called ANESTHESIA. It helps me to have a special kind of sleep where nothing can wake me up and I can't feel anything until after the surgery is all over. SLEEPY DOCTORS and SLEEPY NURSES, called CRNAs, took good care of me! Sometimes the nurses give kids some SILLY JUICE before their SLEEPY MEDICINE to help them relax.
