Jackson Generals Team

Team history:

Since 1997, the Jackson Generals Wheelchair Basketball Team has become known as one of the best in the nation. That first season was a rough start since most players were new to the sport. The Generals only won a couple of games that season. The very next season was a great turnaround. They only lost one game and finished third at the Division III National Tournament. In 2001 and 2002, the Generals won back to back Division III National Titles. Since then, they have had several top ten finishes. People with permanent lower extremity disabilities may play wheelchair basketball (i.e. amputations, paralysis, polio, or some kind of lower extremity birth deformity).
