These classes are designed for the expectant mother and her labor partner to provide instruction on breathing, relaxation, and coping techniques for use during labor with or without medication. Become familiar with the stages and variations of labor including back labor, c-section, induction, and epidural delivery using instruction, video, and interactive floor activities. This class includes a tour of the Labor and Delivery area at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The classes are taught by registered nurses who are trained childbirth educators. One evening class weekly for three weeks. A two-part Saturday series is also offered.

Girl Talk was designed to open up communication between mother and daughters (age 10 - 12) about puberty, reproduction, self-esteem, decision-making and other issues as they mature into young women.

Women's Center Class
A one-time class that prepares women and their support person for breastfeeding. Topics covered: what to expect the first several weeks and beyond, importance of good positioning and latch, pumping, hand expression and how your support person can help. Taught by a Lactation Consultant.

Those soon-to-be big brothers and sisters will learn what their role will be when their new baby arrives. Children will learn about newborn behavior and basic baby care, along with touring the Women's Center. Each child will receive a T-shirt that proudly states "I'm the big brother/sister." For ages three and up.
