Before Orientation Day:

Pre-Employment Visit at Employee Health — Preparing for Your Health and Safety at Work

You will be required to complete an Employee Health visit prior to your first day of employment. Please contact Employee Health at 731.422.7910 to schedule this appointment. This appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment time with the following information

  • A pharmacy print out of any medications you may have taken or our currently taking within the last two weeks
  • Immunization records
  • Government Issued or School issued Photo ID

Below is the when, where, what, and why of new employee orientation.

When to Arrive.

Monday (Day 1) Please arrive on Monday at 7:30am to submit requested paperwork.  Each new employee will take a picture for his/her new badge.  Orientatioin will begin at 8:00am. Breakfast, coffee, and water will be provided.  

Tuesday (Day 2)  Please arrive on Tuesday by 7:30am.  You will receive your parking decal and, if eligible, set a benefits appointment.  Breakfast, coffee, and water will be provided.

Where to Go and Parking on New Employee Orientation Day:

Free parking is available in the employee-designated areas of the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital campus. You will park in the visitor Parking Garage #1 (corner of Forest & Summar) on the roof top level. For driving directions and map to orientation, click here.

You will be attending orientation in J. Walter Barnes Auditorium on the main campus of Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  To locate the J. Walter Barnes Conference Center, you can walk into the hospital on the blue level (Level 1).  At the end of the hallway, turn left and walk towards the front of the hospital (towards the revolving doors).  Just before reaching the information desk with the clock tower, please make a left to enter the conference center.  The conference center is on your left, near the top of the escalators.

What to Wear.

On day one, we will take a headshot for your badge.  Orientation attendees should be dressed in professional/casual business attire or department uniform. Consider wearing layered clothing since the room temperature may not be comfortable for each individual.

What to Bring. 

Representatives of Human Resources will provide your initial new hire documents and collect required documentation from you. On your first day of Orientation, you will be asked to supply the following information:

  • Driver’s License or State Issued Picture ID
  • Birth Certificate or Social Security Card
  • Voided Check for Mandatory Direct Deposit

During the orientation process, new employees will be required to submit various forms and paperwork. Please click on the forms below, complete them, print them out, and bring them with you to orientation on Monday morning.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to accommodate time for locating the conference center, parking, registration, and refreshments.
