Dr. Shawn Baldwin is a Board Certified Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist, who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of arrhythmias. Dr. Baldwin completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University in Texas before graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He underwent internal medicine residency training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He then completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Florida & Shands in Gainesville.
Dr. Baldwin is very passionate about his calling to be in cardiac electrophysiology. “There have been tremendous advances in the field of electrophysiology in the last five to fifteen years, both with implantable devices and ablations,” said Dr. Baldwin. He is very excited about the major research surrounding abnormal heart rhythms as well. “There are many jobs that you can do to help people but medicine seemed to appeal to me because there might be things you can do to make people feel better,” said Dr. Baldwin.
Dr. Juan F. Rodriguez is an Electrophysiologist treating atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Rodriguez most recently completed a Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Rodriguez completed his Internship and his Residency at the Louisiana State University, University Medical Center where he also completed his first Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology at the Louisiana State University, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Rodriguez has worked as an Invasive Non-Interventional Cardiologist at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, OK, the VA Iowa Hospital in Des Moines, IA and at the Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.
Dr. Rodriguez has been published in numerous publications and has won several honors and awards in medicine.
