Valve Care

Our Valve Care Team evaluates each patient for minimally invasive procedures and works with patients and their physicians to choose the best and safest approach.

Valve Repair

  • Aortic Valve and Mitral Valve Repair
  • Commissurotomy (For Stenosis Valve Patients)
  • Valve Ring Annuloplasty (For Regurgitant or Insufficient Valve Patients)
  • Minimally Invasive Heart Valve Repair

Valve Replacement

  • Aortic Valve and Mitral Valve Replacement
  • Bioprosthetic (tissue) and mechanical valve placement
  • Minimally Invasive Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

Most recently, the Valve Care team completed five of the Edwards SAPIEN 3 transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR) in Jackson. TAVR allows heart teams to replace a diseased aortic heart valve without open-chest surgery. For those who are candidates for TAVR, this procedure can provide treatment that improves and extends the patient’s life.  Learn more about the TAVR procedure.
