Open enrollment through the federal health insurance exchange for the 2019 calendar year, known as the Marketplace at healthcare.gov, is open from November 1, 2018 through December 15, 2018. Plans purchased during Open Enrollment become effective on January 1, 2019. If enrollment is not completed by December 15, you may not be eligible to enroll for 2019 coverage, unless there is a qualification for a Special Enrollment Period (please see https://www.healthcare.gov for more details).
There’s no limited enrollment period for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and can apply any time. Please visit healthcare.gov/screener to see if you or a minor qualify.
Certified Application Counselors are staffed on site around West Tennessee Healthcare, and are available by appointment during the Open Enrollment period of November 1 through December 15, 2018. If you have any further questions, please contact the Patient Financial Assistance Services department at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at 731-541-5000, or head over to our FAQ section to find out more information.
