Physical Therapy Services

Our licensed physical therapists at each of our Sports Plus locations provide a group of healthcare services that develop, maintain, and restore your physical movement and function, whether you are undergoing sport injury recovery or stroke therapy. We will use your medical history, personal lifestyle, physician's orders, and a thorough examination to determine an individual plan of care based on your goals and desires.

Familiarize yourself with Physical Therapy terms:

  • Acute therapy is conducted usually after surgery or after an injury and involves the hip, knee, neck, back, shoulder, and/or elbow.
  • Orthopedic involves fractures, sprains, and strains.
  • Neurological is a term that involves a stroke or brain injury.
  • Congenital physical therapy is employed for developmental issues such as with Cerebral Palsy or Spina Bifida patients.
  • Physical Therapy is also used to treat spinal cord injuries whether they are complete or incomplete injuries.
  • Physical Therapy is also used to treat conditions due to a disease process such as arthritis or Multiple Sclerosis.
  • McKenzie Method: One of a select few therapists currently certified in the McKenzie Method of neck and spine rehabilitation, Sports Plus offer this type of physical therapy to reduce pain and restore flexibility and function of the neck and spine. The McKenzie Method requires full partinership between you and our therapist to improve movement and decrease the potential for reoccurrence.
"The Physical Therapists were all so professional. They treated all the patients with kindness and care." Lisa C.
