Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Surgery

Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is proud to include physicians from a wide range of surgical specialties on its active medical staff. Cardiothoracic, general surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, and urology operate within the main hospital's 26 OR rooms. With over 15,000 surgeries performed annually in the hospital's main surgery department, these physicians utilize state-of-the-art technology including a wide range of minimally invasive procedures and robotic technology.

Surgical services is supported by 18 anesthesiologists on staff, as well as an additional 45 CRNAs lending their expertise to the hospital system. A 29-bed surgical intensive care unit is located adjacent to the operating rooms, with Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowshipped physicians available to assist with any patient care needs.
