Cardiac rehabilitation (cardiac rehab) is a comprehensive, medically supervised program designed to help individuals recover from heart-related events such as heart attacks, heart failure, or cardiac surgery, and to reduce the risk of future heart problems.
Exercise training and physical activity:
- Supervised and personalized exercise programs to improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance, and strength.
- Activities may include walking, cycling, light resistence training and flexibility exercises.
- Exercise is tailored to each individual’s fitness level and medical condition, with regular monitoring of heart rate and blood pressure to ensure safety.
Education on Heart Healthy Living:
- Instruction on managing heart disease risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity.
- Guidance on healthy eating, weigth management, and making heart-healthy nutrition choices.
- Education about medications, their importance, and how to take them correctly.

Dr. Theodore Wright was very professional & caring every time I had contact with him & his staff , Chris & Cathy and all of the others . My incision is neat and clean looking , heart surgery is a difficult surgery but they explained how to take care of myself once I got home !!
