Bio
Ashton McGuire is a Jackson, Tennessee native and a dedicated Physician Assistant with extensive experience in surgical and oncologic care. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, followed by a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University.
Ashton recently joined West Tennessee Medical Group General Surgery in Dyersburg, where he provides comprehensive surgical care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. His clinical background includes Urologic Oncology at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he assisted in complex robotic and open procedures, and General Surgery/Trauma at Monument Health in Rapid City, South Dakota, where he gained broad surgical experience and helped lead onboarding for advanced practice providers.
Certified by the NCCPA and licensed in Tennessee, Ashton is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Surgical Physician Assistants. He also maintains certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
Outside of his professional life, Ashton McGuire enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, playing golf, and cheering on the University of Tennessee, always proudly supporting the Volunteers. Go Vols!
