Bio

E. Lee Murray, MD,  a neurologist at West Tennessee Medical Group, holds board certification in neurology. He received his medical degree in 2006, followed by an internal medicine internship and a neurology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During his residency’s final year, he served as the administrative chief resident. Before joining West Tennessee Healthcare in 2011, he completed a one-year fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at Duke University.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has granted Dr. E. Lee Murray board certification in both Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine.

In addition to his clinical duties, he serves as an ad hoc reviewer for numerous medical journals, including prestigious publications such as Neurology, Annals of Internal Medicine, Continuum, The Neurohospitalist, Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, and RRNMF Neuromuscular Journal. He has also co-authored three chapters in various editions of Bradley and Daroff’s Neurology in Clinical Practice and co-authored the comprehensive inpatient neurology textbook entitled The Essentials of Hospital Neurology.

In his comprehensive neurology practice, Dr. Murray‘s primary focus is on neuromuscular diseases. This encompasses conducting electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies, addressing intricate headache disorders, and contributing to hospital-based neurological care.

Dr. Murray holds esteemed positions as a fellow of multiple prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, American College of Physicians, and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Headache Society, the International Headache Society, and the Peripheral Nerve Society.

Born and raised in Southwest Missouri, he and his wife Carmen have chosen Jackson as their home, where they live with their two children.
