Bio
Barry Sidwell, FNP-C is a family nurse practitioner with decades of experience in patient care across multiple clinical settings. His career in health care spans more than two decades as a registered nurse and nearly three decades as a registered respiratory therapist, giving him a broad and practical understanding of patient care across the hospital and outpatient environment.
Barry earned his Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Memphis. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Martin, along with earlier degrees in nursing and respiratory therapy from Jackson State Community College.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Barry built extensive experience working at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in several critical care environments. His clinical background includes roles in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Interventional Pain Clinic, and Medical Intensive Care Unit, along with earlier work as a respiratory therapist and phlebotomist. This diverse experience allows him to approach patient care with a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of complex medical conditions.
Barry is passionate about health, wellness, and patient advocacy. He is committed to helping patients understand their health and make informed decisions about their care.
Outside of the clinic, Barry enjoys spending time with his family. He is a devoted husband and father who values balancing his professional responsibilities with a meaningful family life.
