Bio
Justin Turner, MD, is a family medicine physician and faculty member with a passion for medical education. Originally from Newellton, Louisiana, he moved to Tennessee in 2006 and graduated from Huntingdon High School in 2009.
Dr. Turner earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2013 and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2017. He completed his Family Medicine residency in Jackson in 2020 and chose to remain as faculty, where he focuses on teaching medical students and residents. His clinical interests include inpatient medicine and point-of-care ultrasound.
Dr. Justin Turner and his wife, Barbara, a lifelong West Tennessean, enjoy life in the Jackson community with their child and two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hunting, and fishing.
