Born in Jackson, TN at JMCGH and raised in Decatur County. She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin for her BSN. She worked in ER, ICU, and med-surg then returned to school and obtained Master’s in Nursing from Murray State University in 2000. She lives in Decatur County with her husband on a cattle farm and has two daughters.
