External Users (Non-WTH Staff)
External users, such as non-WTH clinics, physician extenders, and third-party entities, can request access to manage and track patient records securely.
Common request types include:
- Non-WTH Clinic Providers and Staff
- Post-Acute Providers
- Insurance Companies
- External ROI Entities
- Third-Party Billers
- Physician Extenders
What you can do with access:
- Review patient charts, including office visits, ER encounters, and inpatient records
- Receive real-time notifications for medical events
- Place orders for labs, imaging, and referrals
- Manage upcoming appointments and adjust custom views

Internal Users (WTH Employees, Students & Instructors)
Internal users, including employees, students, and instructors, can request Epic access based on their roles.
Managers should complete the IS Application Request form to verify employee credentials.
Access requests should be completed through the IS Application Request form by instructors.
Important: Training is required before access is granted.
For Patients
Patients can access their medical records quickly and securely through MyChart, a free online tool provided by West Tennessee Healthcare.
With MyChart, patients can:
- View test results and provider notes
- Schedule appointments
- Manage prescriptions and more
