Bio

Mina Hanna, MD, is a family medicine physician who provides primary care for patients and families at LIFT. He is committed to building long-term relationships with his patients and providing care that is compassionate, thorough and centered around each person’s needs.

Dr. Hanna earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, where he graduated among the top students in his class and was named to the Dean’s Honor List for six consecutive years. He later completed his family medicine residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.

Through his training, Dr. Hanna gained experience in preventive care, chronic disease management, wellness visits, acute illness care and patient education. His clinical background includes caring for patients of all ages, along with rotations in internal medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, endocrinology and other areas of medicine.

Dr. Hanna believes strong primary care begins with listening, trust and continuity. He takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain care clearly and work with patients to create a plan that supports their long-term health.

Of Egyptian and Lebanese heritage, Dr. Hanna is fluent in English and Arabic. He feels a strong connection to West Tennessee and is grateful for the opportunity to care for the community he proudly calls home.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hanna enjoys traveling and has visited more than 20 countries. He met his wife through their church in Nashville, and they were married in Franklin, Tennessee. They are excited to welcome their first child.
