Bio

Robert Dunwoody, MD, is a neurosurgeon dedicated to providing advanced, patient-centered neurological and spine care in Jackson, Tennessee. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, including endoscopic spinal procedures, as well as the treatment of brain tumors and traumatic neurological injuries.

Originally from Armuchee, Georgia, Dr. Dunwoody graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with degrees in Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Mercer School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia before completing his neurosurgery residency and spine surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois at Peoria.

Dr. Dunwoody is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life through innovative surgical techniques designed to reduce recovery time, minimize discomfort, and support better outcomes. He believes in taking time to educate patients and families so they feel informed and confident throughout their care journey.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Robert Dunwoody enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
