Bio
Ryan Franz, MD, is a Family Medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered primary care for individuals and families in Jackson, Tennessee. He believes in building strong relationships with patients through open communication, preventive care, and personalized treatment plans that support long-term health and wellness.
Dr. Franz brings a diverse background in family medicine, emergency care, disaster response, and community health. He currently serves as a Resident Physician with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Jackson, where he provides comprehensive patient care and education focused on preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
Originally trained as an Emergency Medical Technician, Dr. Franz has extensive experience responding to emergency and rural healthcare needs. He has also volunteered in disaster relief efforts across the United States and participated in medical outreach initiatives serving rural communities in Nicaragua and Honduras.
In addition to clinical care, Dr. Franz has contributed to healthcare innovation as the co-inventor of an electronic medical record platform designed to support triage during disaster events. His passion for medicine is rooted in helping patients feel heard, informed, and supported throughout every stage of care.
