Bio
Tarebiye Pela, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who provides preventative and acute care for patients from birth through age 21. She has a special interest in in adolescence and early childhood development. Pela earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria. She then completed her residency training at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California. Pela joined the team at UVA Pediatrics Culpeper in August of 2017. Prior to joining WTMG, she worked with the University of Virginia Physician group and her desire was to return to Jackson, TN, were she and her family lived for 5 years. Tarebiye and her husband have two sons and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading and volunteering on mission trips, most recently in Honduras.
