JACKSON, TN (March 16, 2026) – West Tennessee Medical Group Jackson Surgical Associates is pleased to announce that Asad Azim, MD, has joined its surgical team. Dr. Azim specializes in general surgery and surgical oncology, expanding access to advanced surgical care for patients across West Tennessee.
Dr. Azim joins the experienced team at Jackson Surgical Associates, including Adil Ayub, MD; Andrew Myers, MD; Hayden Alford, MD; David Laird, MD; Garrison Smith, MD; Shaniece Craft, MD; and Zachary Negley, MD. Together, the team is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered surgical care to communities throughout the region.
Dr. Azim earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, one of the most prestigious medical institutions in Pakistan. He completed his General Surgery residency at New York Medical College and went on to complete a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center – Temple Health in Philadelphia.
With advanced training in cancer surgery and complex surgical procedures, Dr. Azim brings specialized expertise that will further strengthen surgical services available through West Tennessee Medical Group.
