Belal Saleh, DO, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with extensive experience in hospital medicine. He currently serves as a full-time hospitalist at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto and part-time hospitalist at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, bringing a strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Dr. Saleh earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Michigan. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Pre-Medicine concentration from Austin Peay State University.
He is licensed to practice in Tennessee, Michigan, Mississippi, and Arkansas, and maintains active DEA certifications in these states. In addition to being board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Saleh is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Saleh has contributed to medical research, including a poster presentation on hospital length of stay for COPD exacerbations in patients with suspected pulmonary hypertension, presented at the American College of Osteopathic Internists Convention. He is also an engaged member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Tennessee Osteopathic Medical Association.
At the institutional level, Dr. Belal Saleh has participated in key hospital committees such as Peer Review, Infections, Best Practices, and the CHF Quality Improvement Team, demonstrating his dedication to advancing quality outcomes and healthcare standards.
