Bio
Whitney Young, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in women’s health, emergency care, and chronic disease management. Since January 2019, Whitney has proudly served at West Tennessee Medical Group Women’s Care, where she focuses on obstetrics, gynecology, preventive medicine, and menopause care. She is deeply committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women throughout every stage of life.
Whitney began her nursing career in 2010 and has served in a wide range of clinical settings, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, endocrinology, and geriatrics. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Martin and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Dyersburg State Community College.
Whitney is known for her approachable demeanor, thorough care, and dedication to patient education. She remains active in professional organizations including Sigma Theta Tau International and the Tennessee Nursing Association.
