DYERSBURG, TN. — West Tennessee Healthcare is proud to announce Dr. Neil McKee,
M.D., of Dyersburg Hospital as the 2026 Community Hospital Doctor of the Year.
This award recognizes a physician from one of West Tennessee Healthcare’s community
hospitals, including Dyersburg, Martin, Henry County, Milan, Bolivar, and Camden, who
exemplifies what it means to provide high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
Dr. McKee was selected for the meaningful impact he makes each day, not only through his
clinical expertise, but through the way he cares for people. Patients and families know him as
someone who listens, explains, and walks alongside them through their care. His colleagues
know him as a dependable, respectful partner who brings professionalism, collaboration, and a
strong sense of purpose to the team.
Through years of service with West Tennessee Healthcare, Dr. McKee has built a reputation for
going the extra mile…always focused on doing what’s right for his patients while supporting
those around him. Dr. McKee serves as the Chief Medical Officer for West Tennessee
Healthcare’s community hospitals.
“Dr. McKee is the kind of physician every community hopes for,” said Scott Barber, CEO of
West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. “He takes the time to truly connect with his
patients and works side by side with our staff to make sure they receive the very best care. We
are proud to have him here in Dyersburg and honored to recognize him with this award.”
This marks the second year of the Community Hospital Doctor of the Year award, following its
inaugural recipient in 2025. Dr. McKee continues that growing tradition of honoring physicians
who make a meaningful difference in the communities they serve every day.
