Bio
Benjamin Coons, MD, is a board-certified urologist who provides experienced care for patients with conditions affecting the urinary tract, bladder, kidneys, prostate and male reproductive health. He is committed to helping patients understand their symptoms, review their treatment options and feel more confident in the next step of their care.
Dr. Coons earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he received advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of urologic conditions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Coons has cared for patients in both hospital and clinical settings. His background includes the evaluation and treatment of common and complex urologic concerns, including urinary symptoms, kidney stones, prostate conditions, bladder concerns and other men’s health needs.
Dr. Benjamin Coons believes good care starts with listening. He takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain information clearly and work with patients to develop a care plan that fits their needs. His goal is to provide thoughtful, respectful urology care that helps patients feel informed and supported throughout their health journey.
