Bio
Mark D. Flora, MD, is a board-certified urologist with decades of experience caring for patients with a wide range of urologic needs. He provides thoughtful, patient-centered care for conditions affecting the urinary tract, bladder, kidneys, prostate and male reproductive health.
Dr. Flora earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed his general surgery internship and residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by his urology residency and chief residency in urology, also at Vanderbilt. His training helped shape his strong clinical foundation and commitment to providing high-quality urologic care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Flora has cared for patients through every stage of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. He understands that urologic concerns can feel personal, uncomfortable or stressful, and he works to create a care experience where patients feel heard, respected and informed.
Dr. Flora is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of professional organizations including the American Urological Association, Nashville Academy of Medicine and Nashville Surgical Society. His background also includes research and publication work related to kidney function and urinary tract conditions.
With many years of experience in urology, Dr. Flora is dedicated to helping patients better understand their health, review their treatment options and move forward with confidence in their care.
