Bio
Matthew Chandler, MD, is a family medicine physician who provides compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals and families. He is dedicated to helping patients feel heard, respected and confident in their care, whether they are coming in for a routine visit, an acute illness or ongoing health concerns.
Dr. Chandler earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He is completing his family medicine residency at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he has gained experience caring for patients in a variety of clinical settings.
Dr. Chandler has a strong interest in caring for acutely ill patients and working alongside nurses, specialists and other members of the care team to provide safe, efficient and thoughtful family medicine care. He values clear communication and believes every patient deserves a care plan that is easy to understand and centered around their needs.
His background also includes volunteer work providing primary care to underserved patients through Meharry Medical College’s student-run Salt Wagon Clinic, as well as experience supporting patient care through Remote Area Medical. These experiences helped strengthen his commitment to serving patients with compassion, humility and purpose.
A West Tennessee native, Dr. Matthew Chandler is excited to return home and care for the community he proudly calls home. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and cheering on the University of Memphis Tigers.
