August 15, 2023 – West Tennessee Healthcare is pleased to announce that Resilient West TN, a program of Jackson Madison County General Hospital, is a recipient of an ACEs Innovation Grant of the TN Department of Children’s Services.
Emily Sain will lead the program by providing classes to spread awareness of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), Resilience, and PCEs (Positive childhood experiences).
ACEs are traumatic events in childhood that affect a child’s brain, these are likely to have mental and physical effects when they become an adult. Resilient and PCEs counterbalance ACEs to mitigate the effects.
Classes are being provided at ASPELL Recovery Center and A Mother’s Love, Health Connect America, and various other agencies in West Tennessee that provide services for adults and teens. If you would like more information, please contact Emily Sain at email@example.com
