JACKSON, TN (February 21, 2022) – West Tennessee Healthcare recently welcomed Tarebiye Pela, MD, pediatrician, back to West Tennessee and to her new medical practice at West Tennessee Medical Group – LIFT Health (Jackson). Dr. Pela earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria. She then completed her residency training at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California. She joined the team at UVA Pediatrics Culpeper in August of 2017. Prior to joining WTMG, she worked with the University of Virginia Physician group and her desire was to return to Jackson, TN were she and her family lived for 5 years.
“I am excited to be returning to West Tennessee and to be joining WTMG bringing more Pediatric care to West Tennessee communities,” said Dr. Pela.
Dr. Pela is a board-certified pediatrician who provides preventative and acute care for patients from birth through age 21. She has a special interest in in adolescence and early childhood development.
