Jackson, Tennessee (March 29, 2022) –In conjunction with the humanitarian relief effort launched in
Tennessee by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, West Tennessee Healthcare has donated
needed medical supplies and medications to support Ukraine and Poland.
Tennessee health care organizations, including West Tennessee Healthcare, have donated 85 pallets of
medical supplies and more than $180,000 in financial support in just 10 days. The first shipment of
supplies was delivered on Tuesday, March 22, and a second load will be delivered soon.
According to James Ross, President and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare, “It is our mission to improve
the health and well-being of communities we serve, and as a part of a global community of healthcare
organizations, we were happy and eager to assist in this effort.”
The relief effort, supported by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and the state of Tennessee, is facilitated through
Nashville-based global health non-profit Hope Through Healing Hands, which Bill Frist founded in 2004.
