West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital Invites Community to Courtyard Dedication

Martin, TN- May 4, 2026: West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital is proud to invite the
community to a special Courtyard Dedication on Tuesday, May 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This memorable event will celebrate the completion of the hospital’s newly renovated courtyard,
a peaceful space designed for patients, families, and staff to step outside, take a breath, and find a
moment of comfort during their time at the hospital.
As part of the dedication, a bench will be unveiled in memory of longtime physician Dr. David
Jones, honoring his years of care, compassion, and service to the community.
The courtyard renovation was made possible through the generous support of local sponsors and
community members. The Volunteer Hospital Foundation Advisory Board hosted a Garden Party
last May to help bring this vision to life, and thanks to those efforts… along with many
individual donations… this welcoming space is now ready to be enjoyed by all.

West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital. “This courtyard is more than just a space, it’s a
place for healing, reflection, and connection. It means a lot to be able to share it with our
community.”
