Bio
Amy Greer is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience caring for patients across acute, chronic, and palliative care settings. She currently serves as an Advanced Practice Provider in Palliative Care at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care for adults and geriatric patients facing serious and life-limiting illnesses.
Amy earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Nurse Practice from Austin Peay State University. She also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Jackson State Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from David Lipscomb University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and maintains active licensure as an APRN, RN, and DOT-certified provider.
Before transitioning into palliative care, Amy worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary and urgent care, as well as a faculty member in the Department of Nursing at Jackson State Community College, where she taught adult health and mentored future nurses. Earlier in her career, she served as a Registered Nurse and Charge Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, providing advanced care for critically ill patients.
Amy is passionate about serving as a patient advocate and guiding individuals and families through complex health decisions with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and staying engaged in her community.
