JACKSON, TN. – West Tennessee Healthcare and West Cancer Center & Research Institute are moving forward with plans to transition cancer services in Paris and Dyersburg to West Tennessee Healthcare’s Alice & Carl Kirkland Cancer Center, effective March 1, 2027.
The two organizations first announced discussions in July 2026. Since then, their teams have been working closely together to prepare for the transition and ensure patients in both communities continue receiving the cancer care they depend on.
“We’ve worked closely with West Cancer Center to prepare for this transition, and we appreciate the partnership we’ve built,” said Stacie Owens, Executive Director of Kirkland Cancer Center & Hospice of West Tennessee. “We look forward to building on the care they’ve provided and continuing to work together to serve our patients.”
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with West Tennessee Healthcare and supporting patients throughout the region who may need additional specialized cancer services,” said Mitch Graves, Chief Executive Officer of West Cancer Center & Research Institute.
Beginning March 1, Kirkland Cancer Center will assume operational responsibility for cancer services in both Paris and Dyersburg, expanding its presence across West Tennessee. Both organizations will continue working together to prepare for the transition and keep patients, employees and the communities informed.
